Am avut multe ceasuri de semineu, dar asa, nu. Dupa ce l-am luat, am aflat cate ceva despre el. Mai jos e un link cu istoria ceasului. Bate Westminster orologiu din sfert in sfert de ora.

Am uitat sa specific ca sub cifra 12 este stantata marca Sonora Chime, ultimul cuvant mai sters din cauza defectului.

Are 3 casete, a patra gaura, cea mica de sub centru este pt. reglat acuratetea, are corespondent pana in spate unde se vede reglajul de sub tija pendulului.

pacat de starea cadranului...si peste cutie s-au pus anii...
una peste alta,tinand cont de dimensiunile ceasului,cred ca-i un obiect de decor foarte frumos...

Este frumos. Are 35cm inaltime, 25cm latime si 19 cm in spate. Sub cifra 6 scrie ,,SET THOMAS SONORA CHIME,, ,se vede in poze vag.

The name “Sonora” comes from the Sonora Chime Company. William Hoschke of New York, New York applied for his patent on this design on April 16, 1907, and the patent was granted on April 18, 1908. Hoschke apparently had a background with music box engineering that he utilized in his design of the Sonora configuration. Seth Thomas purchased the rights to Hoschke's bell chime mechanism and resonators patent around 1912, changed the movements to suit their own manufacturing techniques, cut the price substantially, and successfully marketed a full line of “Sonora” clocks with numerous models and configurations. The unique, rich, resonant sound of Sonora bell chimes comes from the wooden expansive sound chamber in which the cup bells are mounted. They are struck with leather-tipped hammers. These movements were made with as many as eight bells playing two different tunes, some even alternating between tunes each hour!

Foarte frumos ceasul. Practic mica imperfectiune de pe cadran nici nu mai conteaza.
Am vazut ca l-ai pus si de vanzare pe net. E pacat sa te desparti de el sincer. Si nu stiu daca vei gasi clienti care sa aprecieze valoarea materiala a acestui ceas. Cu greu vei gasi din nou asa ceva prin RO, poate doar aduse afara...
